Hi guys, haven't been around much recently as I have started a new job and been spending all my spare time in the garage (rebuilding a 69 BSA Victor special scrambler).
Anyhoo, just wanted to wish all forum members a very, very merry Christmas and I hope Santa brings lots of goodies and Christmas spirit to us all.

And god bless our boys out in Afghanistan this festive season.

Well, having ridden for 2 and a bit years, my job tupeed [sp?] further afield and I finally had to get a car. Managed to sell the bike back to the scooter place, at a reduced price understandably! Had I ridden it most days of the week, I could have kept riding with a low maintenance cost but when 2 tyres are under pressure in the shed most of the time...I could have kept it going anyway, but with my tenants having moved out, I just couldn't afford to keep it going.

I'm trying to figure out if I have to possess a motorcycle license for a scooter over 50cc.

Until I can figure that out, I can't really figure out which type of scooter I need. I'll be using it for transportation between school and work, and some grocery-getting. I'm totally new to scootering and driving in general.

I'm looking at picking up a used Aprilia SR50, it looks like it's been crashed or something.
It's got some scrapes along both sides and the side rear panel has a crack in it.

New here and need some help i have just bought a benille pepe 50cc scooter 2 stroke. its brand new but when im riding it after a few miles it losses power and stops and wont start for a few minutes as if its flooded or starved of fuel then i can ride it for a few miles about 5 and same happens again today when going up hill it just lost power and stopped. I just bought my second Piaggio Skipper. I was on my way home with it from the previous owner, and about 30 miles into the journey. The engine suddenly cuts out when I push it to 60mph for the first time. It now coughs and splutters, but won't start. The scooter hadn't been used for about a year, only to charge the battery before they gave it to me.

Any ideas what's happened?

Seems Winter is Closing in on us. I have been busy getting caught up on a few projects that
need to be done before snows come. However I feel like I need to make some time to
Take the Scooter for a long ride for one last time while the temps are @ 60 Degrees F.

It would not be fare to say I haven't has some seat time. Been re caulking the Shower and put new vinyl
Floor covering down....Then reinstall the toilet with a new Seat & lid Assy....

Maybe a clutch problem?

I have a Genesis 125 scooter that has started to move forward on it's own. It's as if it's constantly in gear. When it's shut off, it's very difficult to move either forward or backward. Sometimes, it shuts off when I come to a stop.....

What do you think the problem is?

2006 Daelim Delphino 125 2 stroke

Ok so this is weird, but should be useful for many modern scooters. My fuel gauge is stuck in the Full position and I wondering why. To start it's an electronic gauge that turns on with the scooter.
-When I turn off the scooter the gauge stays in the same place; I assume it should go down. NOTE: THIS assumption is not correct it will stay up.
-It has three wires that feed the gauge. See update below for wire info....

Winter Gloves

I have recently moved depots within Royal mail and gone from a 5 minute commute to almost 20 mins which isn't a problem. However with winter looming the gloves I've been using last year just won't be up to the task of keeping my pinkies warm. So can anyone recommend a good warm, water and wind proof pair of gloves that won't cost me a second mortgage?
