compression and fuel going to the carb but not starting.

I have changed the HT leads, the spark and the regulator and also as a last ditch chnaged the stator plate. Now it just whines when I try to start it with the

   I working on a 1984 125 PX, standard set up with a Simonini exhaust. The problem is that once running, the engine starts to run away and increase rev&#39;s
without throttle increase!
<br>
I&#39;ve cleaned and stripped the carb and all works well with no blockages etc, but it still runs on!
<br>
Anyone got any other ideas please guys!

			<description><![CDATA[ hey, I&#39;m in the process in getting a scooter. i love the look of the Vespa PX 125 and when researching them i came accross the LML Star. this essentially
seems to be a copy of the PX and i believe is made by piaggio? it seems like a good scooter to me because it has all the same timeless styling but with a new
engine with good MPG, it&#39;ll probably be reliable and all good stuff like that. my concerns are: A. are they actually any good? B. would i be hated if i

to pull out the choke to start it which i didnt have to do before. its reg is DK54.

I have a Y reg P200. I was riding it all weekend around the IOW and all was fine. Then on the way to work I have lost all my electrics. Engine still running ok
so am a wee bit confused. The main fuse is ok and I have checked most of the connections and have given then a clean.

I&#39;ve just bought a 55 plate PX 125 from a mate.

It&#39;s been stood for a year without being run so I put fresh petrol in the tank, cleaned the carb, put a new plug in and charged the battery up.

The problem is........it starts up lovely but after 2-4 minutes it dies.

I had a similar problem on a P200E I used to have a few years ago and it turned out to be the CDI... ]]></description>

My Sprint Veloce 150, needed new cables, so I fitted them easily enough, however I &#39;m having a job setting them up!, The reason being when my batwing
selector is in neutral, it still engages with what I think is 2nd gear. I&#39;m assuming 1st gear is closest to the rear wheel? Can anyone advise please?
