Hi
I recently bought a px125 03plate with about 300km on the clock found myself wanting to make it a little faster i started with a dr180 kit with a sito plus running around a 100 main jet could get about 70mph but it didnt feel right.
I then fitted a 26mm carb then found a flat spot when pulling the throttle back running a 116 main jet changing the air correcter to a be4 eased the flat spot a little. i then fitted a simimoni exhaust and it felt really strong for a bit but had the flat spot then on a long run i had a heat seziure at this point i realised gear oil had petrol in so i changed all oil seals and rebuilt the engine with a race crank. i was disapointed to find flat spot again and had another heat seizure i changed the air corrector to be3 main jet to 118 and the plug to a bh7 and the flat spot appeared gone, but yet again another heat seizure. I managed to snap my siminoni exhaust so ive now got a sterling exhaust.
Im hoping someone has a suggestion on what jetting to try or anything else ive overlooked that could be causing the over heating as im hoping to get it setup and running safe with the sterling pipe?
Any suggestions will be much appriecated as i want to have no worries of lock ups
Thanks Chris
