I'm in the middle of an engine rebuild on a 1965 Vespa 150 Sprint and have come across a problem when replacing the old rear axle bearing track, cage, and
washer. The first issue, is that the new bearing kit that was bought from Scooterworks, USA has 15 bearings and the old one had 14, although the dimensions of
the old and new bearing tracks seem to be the same. Is this discrepancy an issue? Did I order or was I shipped an inappropriate part?
The second issue is the washer. What is the appropriate method to reinstalling the bearing track, cage, and washer? It seems that the washer is an extremely tight fit and I'm wondering if heating the engine case and using a press to push the washer and bearing kit in place is the appropriate way to install this? Any tips or tricks?
